Ladies In Fellowship Together
At Christ Church Willaston, we believe that the love of Christ is the foundation of our community. Upholding one another as we share the love and joy of knowing Christ.
UpLIFT is a group of Christian ladies from Christ Church, Willaston, who meet together monthly to provide each other with friendship and fellowship. In strengthening our fellowship together, we are helping one another not only to strengthen the tie between church and community, but also to share with each other the love and joy of knowing Christ.
We meet every second or third Thursday of the month, and you don't need to live in Willaston to join us, you don't need to be a Christian, or even be part of our congregation. We see our UpLIFT group as a way for you to get to know and understand more about the church and your place within it!
Our meetings involve Christian fellowship, but also we hold interesting talks, trips, social events. We have interesting guest speakers, and our trips out can be anything from a meal at a local restaurant to visiting a Lifeboat Station (both of which feature in our 2024 programme, which you will see opposite). Come and join us - contact Claire Bannon - and find out that faith offers far more that coming to church on a Sunday!

18th January - 7.15pm - Post Christmas meal at 107 Dining Room, Heswall. Booking Essential.
27th February - 7.30pm - A talk about the Work of Maggie's, Wirral (a cancer charity) - at Christ Church, Willaston. Donations to Maggie's welcome. Refreshments available.
14th March - 7.30pm - Visit to Bulwark Games, Bebington, a board game coffee shop. £6.00 entry at the venue. Please book with Claire by 4th February.
16th April - 7.30pm - A talk about A VISIT TO THE HOLY LAND by Ann Hughes - at Christ Church, Willaston. Refreshments available.
TBC May - 7.00pm - A visit to RNLI in Hoylake.
Donations to RNLI most welcome.
13th June - 7.00pm - An evening walk around Stanney Woods and a drink at Old Hall Farm.
18th July - 7.00pm - A Shared Supper Picnic in the church grounds at Christ Church, Willaston.
22nd August - 7.30pm - A drink and a chat at Pollards Inn, Willaston.
19th September - 7.30pm - A talk by Fr Lyndon Bannon. Refreshments available.
10th October - 7.00pm - A visit to the Empire Theatre, Liverpool to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Tickets £24.50. Booking Essential.

TBC December - Joint, UpLIFT, Men's Group and Mothers Union Christmas Carol Service with mince pies and mulled wine, at Christ Church, Willaston.
Next Service
Sunday24th November 2024 (Christ the King) - 9am - Parish Eucharist celebrated at the Methodist Church.
There are no further services at Christ Church as the church will be closed from 23rd September 2024 till early May, 2025 for re-ordering.
Services continue at 9am each Sunday at the Methodist Church during this period. There will be no 10.30 am services for Christ Church until further notice.
